SfL Commends President Biden for Opening Up E15 Sales

April 12, 2022

Solutions from the Land issued the following statement in response to President Biden waiving restrictions on the sale of E15 (gasoline with a 15-percent ethanol blend), now making the blend available across the nation, throughout the year.

SfL applauds President Biden for recognizing the benefits that higher blends of renewable fuels provide at the gas pump in the face of rising gasoline prices. Opening up E15 sales across the nation year-round will lower fuel prices and simultaneously improve national and energy security and environmental and public health. SFL urges the President to further enable these outcomes by backing the bipartisan Next Generation Fuels Act (H.R. 5089), which will further reduce carbon, increase vehicle efficiency, reduce toxic emissions, and protect public health.
