Microsoft
Corp. has purchased 315 MW of energy from two new solar projects in
Virginia – the single largest corporate purchase of solar energy ever in the
United States. The multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond,
WA, says the move will help it make significant progress toward its goal of
reaching 60 percent renewable energy by early 2020.
25x’25 Vision: By 2025, America’s farms, forests and ranches will provide 25 percent of the total energy consumed in the United States, while continuing to produce safe, abundant, and affordable food, feed and fiber.
