Midwestern utility company Great Plains Energy has
signed two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to add more than 440 megawatts
(MW) from two Kansas wind farms set to come online next year. The PPAs will
take Great Plains total wind power capacity to more than 1.8G gigawatts –
approximately 25 percent of its generating portfolio.
25x’25 Vision: By 2025, America’s farms, forests and ranches will provide 25 percent of the total energy consumed in the United States, while continuing to produce safe, abundant, and affordable food, feed and fiber.
